On Wednesday, after opening at 95.61 in morning trade, the Indian rupee fell by 10 paise to close at 95.71 against the US dollar.
At the close, the Sensex ended 49.74 points, or 0.07 percent, higher at 74,608.98, while the Nifty rose 33.05 points, or 0.14 percent, to close at 23,412.60.
