CCI Cuts Cotton Prices by ₹2,500 per Candy; Season Sales Cross 70.85 Lakh Bales
The Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) reduced its Cotton Candy prices by ₹2,500 per candy during the week of June 8–June 12, 2026. The auctions witnessed strong participation from mills and traders, resulting weekly sales of about 44,900 bales from the 2025–26 season.

June 8, 2026 (Monday)
The week started on a strong note, recording the highest single-day sales of 28,600 bales. Mills purchased 8,500 bales, while traders led the buying activity with 20,100 bales.
June 9, 2026 (Tuesday)
Auction activity moderated slightly, with total sales of 7,900 bales. Mills bought 6,500 bales, whereas traders purchased 1,400 bales.
June 10, 2026 (Wednesday)
Sales volume declined further, with 2,400 bales sold during both the session. Mills purchased 1,300 bales, while traders bought 1,100 bales.
June 11, 2026 (Thursday)
CCI reported total sales of 2,600 bales during the day. Mills accounted for 700 bales, while traders purchased 1,900 bales.
June 12, 2026 (Friday):
The week ended with total sales of 3,400 bales. Mills purchased 1,300 bales, while traders purchased 2,100 bales.
