CCI Sells Over 7.78 Lakh Bales in Weekly Auctions, Increases Cotton Prices by ₹800 per Candy
The Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) increased its cotton selling prices by ₹800 per candy during the week ended June 19, 2026. Strong participation from textile mills and cotton traders was witnessed in the auctions, resulting in total weekly sales of about 7,78,500 bales from the 2025–26 crop season.
Day-wise Auction Performance
June 15, 2026 (Monday):
CCI recorded total sales of 15,300 bales during the day. Mills purchased 9,100 bales, while traders lifted 6,200 bales.
June 16, 2026 (Tuesday):
Total sales rose to 67,900 bales. Mills accounted for purchases of 23,200 bales, whereas traders bought 44,700 bales.
June 17, 2026 (Wednesday):
CCI sold 2,34,500 bales during the day. Mills purchased 97,600 bales, while traders lifted 1,36,900 bales.
June 18, 2026 (Thursday):
The highest sales of the week were recorded on Thursday, with total auction sales reaching 2,53,200 bales. Mills led the buying activity with purchases of 1,31,400 bales, while traders bought 1,21,800 bales.
June 19, 2026 (Friday):
The week concluded with total sales of 2,07,500 bales. Mills purchased 1,14,000 bales, while traders remained active with purchases of 93,600 bales.

With the latest auctions, CCI's cumulative cotton sales for the 2025–26 season have reached 7,78,500 bales.
