The rupee strengthened by 10 paise to close at 83.37 against the US dollar this evening.

This evening, the rupee appreciated by 10 paise to settle at 83.37 against the US dollar.

At the close of trading, the BSE Sensex rose 1,618.85 points or 2.16% to close at 76,693.36. The NSE's 50-share index Nifty rose 468.75 points or  2.05% to close at 23,290.15.
