India ITME 2026 Roadshow Kicks Off in Coimbatore
The India ITME Society launched the promotional campaign for India ITME 2026 with a special preview event held in Coimbatore. The 12th edition of this premier textile machinery and technology exhibition is scheduled to take place from December 4 to 9, 2026, at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida. Key stakeholders from the textile industry participated in the event.
Ketan Sanghvi, Chairman of the India ITME Society, stated that the 2026 edition would be the largest event in the India ITME series to date. It is expected to feature over 1,800 exhibitors, participation from more than 95 countries, and an anticipated footfall of over 150,000 visitors. Spanning an area of approximately 240,000 square meters across 18 exhibition halls, the event is set to become a major global platform for the textile machinery and engineering industry.
Centered on the theme ‘ITME Next’, the exhibition will place special emphasis on advanced textile machinery, sustainable manufacturing, and next-generation textile technology. Technologies promoting resource efficiency, the circular economy, and the reduction of environmental impact will also be highlighted, aligning with initiatives such as ‘Make in India’, PM MITRA Parks, and the National Technical Textiles Mission.
Prabhu Damodaran, Convener of the Indian Texpreneurs Federation (ITF), noted that the current environment is favorable for the Indian textile industry following years of challenges. He identified FTAs, GST reforms, robust supply chains, and the growing importance of nearshoring as significant opportunities for India. He also emphasized the need for continuous investment in technology, innovation, and product development.
A two-day international conference titled ‘Textile Horizons’ will be held on December 5–6 during India ITME 2026. Additionally, a CEO Conclave and the ITME Technical Awards will be key highlights of the event. Dr. Seema Srivastava, Executive Director of the India ITME Society, expressed gratitude for the industry's continued support.
