September 16 Set as Auspicious Date for Cotton Trading at Khandwa Agricultural Produce Market

Khandwa. An auspicious time—11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 16, 2026—has been fixed for the commencement of cotton trading (buying and selling) at the Khandwa Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC). A meeting regarding this was held with traders at the APMC office building on Thursday, September 10, 2026. The meeting was presided over by Market Secretary Ramveer Kirar.

During the meeting, discussions were held with traders regarding the auspicious time to begin trading the notified agricultural produce—cotton—within the market premises. Following these deliberations, 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, was finalized as the auspicious time to start cotton trading.

The meeting, chaired by Market Secretary Ramveer Kirar, also covered necessary arrangements related to cotton trading and the upcoming season. With the commencement of cotton arrivals at the market, farmers will be able to bring their produce for sale, marking the start of the new cotton trading season for traders.

Officials and staff of the market committee, including Ashok Sharma, Dayaram Chauhan, Premnarayan Dugaya, and Shyam Dangi, were present at the meeting. Traders who participated included Amit Jain, Virendra Agrawal, Kailash Bansal, Sanju Agrawal, Ankur Jain, Sunil Gupta, Sandeep Agrawal, and Jitendra Singh Ubeja.

As per the decision taken at the meeting, the buying and selling of cotton at the Khandwa Agricultural Produce Market premises will now begin at 11:00 AM on September 16. The market committee is making the necessary preparations to commence trading operations.
