The Indian rupee on Friday lower 11 paise to close at 92.45 per dollar, while it opened at 92.34 in the morning.
At close, the Sensex was down 1,470.50 points or 1.93 percent at 74,563.92, and the Nifty was down 488.05 points or 2.06 percent at 23,151.10. About 899 shares advanced, 3200 shares declined, and 125 shares unchanged.
