On Friday the Indian Rupee higher by 27 paise to close at 95.11 against the US dollar, after opening at 95.38 in morning trade.
At close, the Sensex was up 1,695.40 points or 2.30 percent at 75,527.95, and the Nifty was up 461.30 points or 1.99 percent at 23,622.90. About 3110 shares advanced, 969 shares declined, and 149 shares unchanged.
