The Indian rupee higher by 09 paise against the US dollar on Friday, closing at ₹95.81 per dollar.
The domestic currency opened at ₹95.90 against the US dollar and fluctuated throughout the trading session. It eventually closed at ₹95.81, up 09 paise from the previous opening level.
The Sensex closed 315 points higher at 73,895.74, while the Nifty gained 77 points to 23,140.50 after the closing auction session. Compared with the pre-CAS close, the Sensex adjusted about 14 points higher and the Nifty about 12 points higher.
