The domestic currency opened at ₹95.72 against the US dollar and remained volatile during the trading session. It eventually settled at ₹95.41, higher 31 paise from its previous close.
the Sensex closed 286.98 points or 0.37% higher at 77,656.09, and the Nifty ended 115.50 points or 0.48% higher at 24,334.55. About 1,970 shares advanced, 2,146 shares declined, and 158 shares were unchanged.
