The Indian rupee higher by 08 paise against the US dollar on Thursday, closing at ₹95.93 per dollar.
The domestic currency opened at ₹96.01 per dollar and fluctuated during the trading session. It eventually closed at ₹95.93, which is 08 paise higher than the previous opening rate.
At the 3:30 pm post-CAS close, the Sensex fell 21.86 points to 74,314.59, while the Nifty gained 53 points to 23,270.60. At the 3:15 pm pre-CAS close, the Sensex had been up 77.78 points and the Nifty up 76.75 points.
