The Indian rupee on wednesday lower 02  paise to close at 89.27 per dollar, while it opened at 89.25 in the morning.

 At the close, the BSE Sensex was at 85,609.51, up 1022.5 points or 1.21 per cent and NSE Nifty50 was at 26,205.3, up 320.5 points or 1.24 per cent.
