On Friday the Indian Rupee higher by 78 paise to close at 94.94 against the US dollar, after opening at 95.72 in morning trade.
At close, the Sensex was down 116.67 points or 0.16 percent at 74,243.34, and the Nifty was down 49.85 points or 0.21 percent at 23,366.70. About 1966 shares advanced, 2049 shares declined, and 197 shares unchanged.
