Pallavaa Group Announces ₹1,000-Crore Investment in Integrated Textile Manufacturing
Pallavaa Group, an established Indian manufacturer of man-made fibre (MMF) yarns and fabrics, is set to invest ₹1,000 crore in a new integrated manufacturing facility at the PM-MITRA Textile Park in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu.
The facility will integrate spinning, weaving, knitting and processing, strengthening Pallavaa’s vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities and expanding its presence across the MMF value chain. The investment comes amid growing global demand for viscose, modal and blended products, particularly from brands seeking sustainable alternatives and reliable supply chains.
The Virudhunagar PM-MITRA Park, spread across more than 1,000 acres, offers integrated infrastructure, including plug-and-play facilities, uninterrupted power, zero-liquid-discharge water treatment and worker housing.
Pallavaa’s investment builds on nearly five decades of MMF expertise. The group began as a weaving enterprise in 1977 and established its first spinning unit in 1991. It now operates eight manufacturing units in the Pallipalayam cluster and supplies yarns and fabrics to customers in more than 40 countries. Its portfolio includes viscose, modal, lyocell, bamboo and various blended products.
The group currently produces around 330 tonnes of yarn and 600,000 metres of fabric per day, along with 20–25 tonnes of knitted products. Technology, automation and sustainability remain central to its growth strategy.
Pallavaa sources nearly 90% of its energy from renewable sources and aims to become carbon-neutral by 2035. The ₹1,000-crore project marks a significant increase over its traditional annual investment of around ₹200 crore and is expected to strengthen the group’s ability to serve both domestic and international markets.
