The rupee had closed at 94.97 on Wednesday, whereas today it opened at 94.30 per dollar, marking a gain of 67 paise.
The Sensex opened at 76,724.95, against its previous close of 76,570.35, and was trading at 76,745.72, up 175.37 points or 0.23 per cent, as of 9.19 am. The Nifty 50 opened at 23,997.95, against its previous close of 23,914.45, and was trading at 23,975.35, up 60.90 points or 0.25 per cent.
